My day as a mommy...

Was chaos, and this will most likely be my introduction to everyday! You know those days where your kid wakes up before the crack of dawn and doesn't feel like sleeping?? that's how my day started. As the day rolls out and my other daughter wakes up I think to myself okay it must me almost noon... It was sadly no where near noon! It was only 9:30am. And my 5 month old does not want to go down for her nap and she is fussy and it was chaos. So we sat in their room and played.

I tried to reorganize their clothes and put away the ones they had grown out of. That was a BAD idea. Vera (daughter 1) decided she wanted to take them all of out the storage bin and see if they still fit her. It was fine. Which seems to be my new word when messes happen. I really don't want my kids thinking/remembering that I yelled at them all the time. So instead of yelling at her after she threw them all out and trying them on I TRIED to teach her how to fold clothes and put them back in. She wasn't too bad at folding but she got the hang of putting them back in the bin and I was "fine" with that!

Our dog George then showed up to the party and tried stealing some of the toys for his afternoon chewing session and it was then I decided I needed to get us out of the house. So of course we went to Target :) This is a horrible place to go to just walk around and get some fresh air because then you buy things you don't need to be buying especially if you're on a budget, I could easily spend $80 if I'm not paying attention... Dang Target! Thank you for your 45min. of AC though.

Nap time, thank goodness!

I'm trying to change up my dinner recipes towards paleo. Yes, you may have heard of it and think caveman diet, why would you do that! Well for a number reasons, one being that my pantry actually has a lot of the ingredients (I have lots of spices). Two, no sugar unless it is already in the food such as fruit. Three, I can actually put it together really fast (30 min). I have been liking it a lot so far. I usually follow the recipe strictly first go around but the BBQ pork from the night before didn't turn out as I hoped from mistakes on my part but still tasted fine. I used the leftover pork to make cauliflower BBQ pork fried rice... well since the bbq pork didn't turn out so barbecue I might have thrown in a tablespoon of sweet baby rays haha :) it was delicious! So at least 99% of it was paleo I think that still counts!

xoxo,
mommy
